Exercise and mental health

We have all heard the claims that exercising is not only just good for your physical health, but that it can boost your mental health too. Evidence shows that physical activity can help maintain and improve your mental health in a number of ways, including improving depression and anxiety. This is because exercising induces chemical changes in your brain, which can help to boost endorphins and Serotonin that improve our mood. It is also thought that keeping active can bring about a sense of greater self-esteem, self-control, and the ability to rise to a challenge. This is something that I believe to be true for me. I just cant beet the feeling of achievement when I hit a new PB in the gym or when I have completed an fitness event with my friends.
